International Admissions and Recruitment

Center for English Language and American Culture

For those interested or enrolled in UNM’s intensive English program or Community Course.

International Student and Scholar Services

For UNM international students and research scholars in academic degree or exchange programs who want to discuss visa/immigration status, travel issues, work requirements (or apply for work authorization such as OPT, STEM OPT, Academic Training), or have questions about other services for internationals at UNM.

Education Abroad

For current or prospective UNM students interested in Studying Abroad. Please see our program leader page for UNM faculty or staff who want to discuss leading a program abroad.

In-person walk-in hours from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm Tuesday through Thursday (Fall and Spring semesters) and 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm during the Summer, at 2120 Mesa Vista Hall, or by appointments Monday - Friday. Schedule an appointment with an advisor using the UNM LoboAchieve advisement system.

UNM Passport Center

For US citizens seeking to apply for or renew a US passport or individuals who need passport-style photos.

Photo Service or Renewal Application - This appointment is for photo service or passport renewal applications only. Do not book this appointment if you are also applying for a new or First Time Passport Book or Passport Card.

New US Passport Application Adult/Minor - Schedule an appointment to apply for a new US passport.

In person walk-in hours from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Tuesday - Friday and 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Saturdays at the main campus bookstore.

GEO Notary

Notary Appointment - For UNM community members needing the services of a Notary Public.

GEO will be closed for a monthly all staff meeting on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
